Simple house rules, clearly stated.
These are the practical rules used for direct reservations. Where an OTA booking has different cancellation or payment conditions, the conditions shown on that confirmed OTA reservation take precedence.
Check-in
14:00–17:30. Please provide your expected arrival time in advance.
Check-out
08:00–11:00.
Shared bathrooms
Tiger, Phoenix, Snake, Monkey and all dorm beds use Sojourn’s shared bathroom facilities.
Adult-only stay
Children are not accommodated. Guest capacity depends on the room or number of dorm beds selected.
Smoking
Guest rooms and indoor common spaces are non-smoking. Use only designated outdoor smoking areas.
Pets
Pets cannot be accommodated.
Damage
Guests may be charged for damage caused during the stay. The current OTA-published damage limit is up to RM150.
Taxes & statutory charges
Applicable tourism, heritage or statutory charges are shown where required by the booking channel and prevailing regulations.
Cancellation
Direct-booking cancellation terms are shown during confirmation and in the reservation correspondence. Bookings made through Booking.com, Agoda, Airbnb or another OTA remain subject to that channel’s confirmed rate-plan conditions.
Direct payment
A website reservation is recorded first and Sojourn verifies availability across active sales channels. Payment is requested only after that verification, protecting the guest from paying for inventory that may already have sold elsewhere.
Current flow:
Search live dates → select room/bed → enter guest details → reservation pending → inventory verification → payment request → confirmed booking.
Are the bathrooms private?
No. All accommodation currently uses shared bathrooms.
Can I pay immediately after selecting a room?
Not yet. Sojourn first verifies the inventory across active sales channels, then sends the payment request for an approved direct reservation.
Can children stay?
No. Sojourn is currently adult-only accommodation.
What if I booked through an OTA?
Use the cancellation, payment and amendment conditions shown in the confirmed OTA reservation.
