Heritage Ride Taiping 2026 — 25 October Visitor & Spectator Guide
The Heritage Ride Taiping 2026 is set for Sunday, 25 October, with the event starting at 7:00 am from Dataran Warisan Taiping. The organisers have promoted 90 km and 60 km competitive rides plus a 20 km fun ride, while later route material may show slightly different mapped distances. For visitors who are not riding, the useful part is that Dataran Warisan is also planned as the event hub with food trucks, performances, booths and lucky-draw activities.

Registration is not something to assume
The organiser’s indexed 60 km registration page now says it is no longer accepting entries, and earlier organiser-linked coverage stated that registration would close by 23 August or earlier if the quota was filled. If you are not already registered, do not travel to Taiping assuming a rider slot is still available. Check the current GoSportz event page directly before making any participation plan.
Useful for non-riders too
The Dataran Warisan programme is the part most relevant to families and ordinary visitors. Organiser-linked reports describe stage performances, food and exhibition stalls, food trucks and lucky draws at the square. No reliable source reviewed for this update states a general spectator admission fee, so this article does not claim that all activities are free. Individual food, merchandise or paid activities may still have their own charges.
Road access and parking
The event will put a large number of cyclists on roads around Taiping and the wider Larut, Matang and Selama area. At the time of this update, we have not found a current official traffic-closure or spectator-parking plan for 25 October. Drivers should therefore check GoSportz and Majlis Perbandaran Taiping again nearer the event date and allow extra time around Dataran Warisan in the early morning.
Staying in Taiping
If the ride is bringing your family or cycling group to town, staying in the old town makes it easy to combine the event with Taiping’s heritage streets, food and nearby attractions rather than treating the weekend as a single race morning.
