The Little Garden Between Arrivals
旅人来去之间的小花园
Not every useful part of a guesthouse is a bed. Sometimes it is the place where nobody has to be anywhere for a while.
旅宿里有用的地方,不一定是一张床;有时只是让人暂时不用赶去任何地方的一个角落。
At Sojourn, the garden terrace is one of those in-between places. Someone waits there for laundry to dry. Someone else checks tomorrow’s train. A cup goes cold because a conversation lasts longer than expected. Old guesthouses are full of practical things — keys, beds, fans, timetables — but their character often lives in the unused minutes between plans. The small garden does not appear on an itinerary. That is partly the point.
