What Travellers Leave in a Guestbook
A guestbook is a quiet map of a guesthouse.
Not a map of rooms or streets, but of people: hurried signatures, careful drawings, a sentence in a language we do not speak, a place name from very far away. Some guests fill half a page. Some leave only three words.
On the eve of Malaysia Day, these mixed pages feel particularly at home in Taiping. Different handwriting, different journeys, one old house for a night or two.
