Venue: Taiping Zoo Pavilion
Distances: 3 km and 5 km

Race kit collection was on Friday

Howei lists race-kit collection for Friday, 18 September, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Taiping Sentral Mall, Ground Floor. If a registered participant missed that collection window, do not assume a race-morning collection arrangement; check the organiser’s latest instruction or the Howei contact channel.

Route, parking and road closures

The public event page confirms the venue and distances but does not publish a detailed route map, cut-off time, parking plan or road-closure notice. Registered participants should follow the organiser’s latest operational message rather than relying on assumptions about the Lake Gardens or zoo roads.

Weather: thunderstorms are forecast this morning

MET Malaysia’s Taiping town forecast for 19 September shows thunderstorms in the morning and afternoon, with temperatures around 23–34°C. Conditions can change quickly, so check the latest MET Malaysia update before leaving and follow any organiser safety instruction. This article does not imply that the event is cancelled or postponed.

Planning future Taiping race weekends

For visitors coming from outside Taiping for future early-morning races, staying in town can reduce the pre-dawn drive. Sojourn Beds & Cafe is at 54 Jalan Kota in the old-town core; it is not the ESDA race venue, and no room availability is implied for any date.

An advance enquiry is non-binding and does not reserve, hold or guarantee a room or date until Sojourn checks availability and confirms it.
